JAMES AITCHISON (worked from c.1890)

Antique Scottish silver Clan Badge for Anderson. Made by James Aitchison in Edinburgh 1900. In the centre of the badge a seated deer to left. Applied to the surrounding clansman's belt is the family motto "RECTE QUOD HONESTE". Reverse: a simple pin with hook in the centre of the badge. The maker's mark is stamped at the bottom of the badge with the Edinburgh hallmarks for 1900 stamped beneath.
