The Bacchanalian pattern is a rare Regency pattern
which was designed by Stothard for Rundell Bridge & Rundell. The earliest
pieces recorded date from 1812 and are in the Royal Collection. Most of the
pieces in this pattern are gilded. Most pieces are made by Paul Storr and his
successors and it seems that initially this pattern was made only for dessert
services.
