Click here for a larger image Very striking silver Roman ring dating from the 3rd to 4th Century AD. The front of the ring is lozenge-shaped, with tapering ends. The centre of the front, which is the widest part, has a flat surfaced, circular decoration almost like a solitaire stone.
 
Condition :-Excellent. The silver has only been washed and is beautifully toned.

This ring is very striking in appearance. In spite of its great age, it looks almost futuristic. The whole shape of the ring is very simple and elegant.
