Large and generously proportioned George II sterling silver,
Hanoverian pattern, basting spoon of heavy gauge. The stem meets the bowl in an
elongated double drop. The end of the stem is engraved at the back with the
contemporary initials A above I F, with the date 1753 engraved beneath. The
hallmarks at the back of the base of the stem are good and clear.

These long-handled spoons are extremely useful at
