George III sterling silver bowl or sugar basin. The bowl is circular in shape with round collet foot, surmounted on a square base. Both the foot and the top of the bowl are mounted with a reeded border. The plain body is engraved with a simple family crest of a right hand holding a dagger upwards. The inside of the bowl has very pleasing original lemon
coloured gilding. The bowl is fully marked on the base on each corner. The makers' mark seems to have been rather lightly struck.
