Click here for a larger image Very decorative George III oval, sterling silver, mustard pot with bright cut decoration and a blue glass liner. The oval lid of the mustard has an urn shaped finial and a fan shaped thumb-piece. There is an attractive band of bright cut decoration running along the border of the lid. The body of the mustard pot has four bands of ribbing at the top and at the base with three bands of bright cut decoration in between. There is a bright cut cartouche on either side of the body of the mustard pot, encircling the contemporary initials ISF engraved in a flowing style. The mustard pot is fully marked on the base with the maker's mark and the full four hallmarks, all of which are very crisp. It is also stamped on the inside of the lid with the maker's mark, the lion passant and the date mark.
