George III sterling silver haircomb fashioned in the shape of an Antique or Eastern Crown. The maker's marks are the early marks for Ledsam and Vale. The Crown is made of latticed silver and adorned with various types of raised decoration including studs in order to catch the light like precious stones. This art was more commonly simulated in cut steel
jewellery.
