The body of the conical snuffer is plain apart from a triple band of reeding round the base. This reeding is also found at the base and top of the chamberstick column. The family crest of Jenkin or Jenkins of a lion passant regardant standing on a mural coronet, is engraved on the base of the chamberstick, as well as on the nozzle and on the snuffer. The full five hallmarks are stamped on the reverse side of the base and are very crisp indeed. The maker's mark, date mark and assay and duty marks are very clearly stamped on the sleeve of the nozzle and also on the side of the snuffer.
