This medal is rare in silver. It was struck in circa 1805 and issued together with three other similar medals for the battles of Aboukir, St. Vincent and Trafalgar in a small silver box. The complete set in a box is very rare. At the Battle of Copenhagen, Nelson pretended not to see the recall signal sent by Sir Hyde Parker and continued to bombard the Danish ships. Eventually, a truce was called which, in turn, led to a treaty between England and the coalition of Russia, Sweden and Denmark.
