See Medallic Illustrations vol.II, p.421/4 where this medal is rated as very rare. The mark of a star had been the private mark of Georg Hautsch. However, after his death in 1712, this mark was adopted by Georg Wilhelm Vestner, a medallist from Nuremberg. In the middle of August, the sun is in the midst of the constellation Leo. The reverse of this medal symbolizes George I as entering into the kingdom of the British Lion at that season of the year.
