George III sterling silver round, pierced, sugar basket with swing handle and fitted blue glass liner. The lower part of the body and the pedestal foot are decorated with fluting. The edge of the foot and the rim of the basket have a heavy bead border. The upper part of the body is pierced and is festooned with swags and shells. The swing handle has a plain
oblong cartouche in the centre and is decorated with flower heads in descending size.

Condition :-Excellent condition and definition of detail. Clearly hall-marked around the foot. The maker's mark is rubbed but discernible.
