Early 18th century German folding fork with enamelled
handle
Very attractive early 18th century, German, steel two-pronged
folding fork with engraved brass terminals. The handle is very finely enamelled
and decorated with birds and foliage.
Condition :-Extremely good. The enamel is
intact with the exception of two tiny incisions, one on each side of the
handle, which are scarcely visible to the naked eye.
Circa :- 1735
Size :- 5.5 inches (14 cm)
long fully extended
The delicacy of the decoration of the enamel and
the fork's good condition throughout, makes this a highly collectable item. It
would look extremely attractive on a side table among other objects.
