Helmet-shaped silver cream jug with punch-bead border, square foot and plain curved handle. The body is decorated with bright-cut engraving of swags, leaves and flowers around a vacant cartouche.

This jug holds 1/8th of a pint of liquid. George Gray frequently overstruck silver articles made by Hester Bateman and her successors, Peter and Anne. It seems likely that he bought small items such as cream jugs extensively from them.
