Pair of early George III silver basting spoons with the Royal
Arms
Extremely elegant pair of early George III silver Hanoverian
pattern basting spoons engraved with the Royal Arms of George III. London 1762,
probably by William Tant (see Grimwade No. 3905). Provenance: The James Walker
Collection. The spoons are of an extremely good weight, have a fine patina and
a perfect balance. The maker's mark and the full set of hallmarks is clearly
struck on the reverse of the base of each stem, which is joined to the bowl by
a long drop. The end of each stem is engraved with the Royal Arms, flanked with
George III's initials "GR".

Condition :-Excellent condition with a very
fine patina. The hallmarks and engraving are good and clear
