The Old England pattern is very rare. The earliest recorded examples of this pattern are dated 1830. This and the fact that the pattern was made of such a heavy gauge and decorated with the symbolic plants of the British Isles has led to the belief that the Old England pattern was first produced for the coronation of William IV. These
spoons are so pleasing to look at and are in such good condition that they would make an ideal gift.
