Our website www.antique-silver.com has been operating successfully since it became fully 'live' in January 1999. We were one of the first UK websites selling antique silver in the country.  Contrary to many predictions and thanks to excellent and detailed photography by our Webmaster, the site has been well received.  However, the escalating use of ipads and iphones has made it evident that we had to move with the times.  We hope that you will enjoy the new layout which is currently 'work in progress' and would welcome any suggestions you may have to make the site easier to navigate.

Sanda Lipton specialises in top quality Georgian and Victorian silver and collectors’ items from the 16th to the early 20th century, with a particular emphasis on items associated with British social history. She also stocks a wide and carefully chosen selection of British historic and commemorative medals which reflect the whole of British social history in art form.

Formerly an Economist, Sanda has been dealing in antique silver for over 30 years and has a passion for these beautiful items and the stories surrounding them.  Based in private offices in central London, she is always happy to meet with clients by appointment to discuss their individual requirements and help with advice on starting or expanding a collection or suggesting a suitable present, whether large or modest, for any particular occasion. She exhibits at major London antiques fairs including the BADA Antiques & Fine Art Fair in March and Art Antiques London in June.  For the past three years she has held a Christmas exhibition in December in conjunction with antique porcelain specialists Stockspring Antiques and glass specialists Delomosne & Son Ltd.  Free invitations for these two fairs are available on request on the News Page.  A much more extensive selection of stock is on view at the antique fairs which are always a most enjoyable day out.

Over the years Sanda Lipton has served on a number of Vetting Committees and currently still vets. She was the Chairman of the Silver Vetting Committee at the Spring, Summer and Autumn fairs at the Fine Art & Antiques Fair at Olympia for a number of years.  In 2003 she won the Miller's BACA Award for Specialist Dealer of Silver and Plate.  She is a member of the British Antique Dealers' Association and of CINOA and The Silver Society.  She is also a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
