Rare and beautifully designed set of 6 GEORGE II silver Rococo dessert knives.
Makers mark indistiquishable. Circa 1750.

The handles have a very elegant and restrained Rococo design fashioned in the form of waves and strapping. Each handle is engraved with a contemporary family crest. There are vestiges of a makers mark which is too rubbed to read which leads one to believe that these knives were commissioned for a private individual and were not sent to assay.
The scimitar shaped blades compliment the overall design of these knives.

These knives are quite beautiful and would grace any table and blend in with other patterns.
