Smart pair of well made George III pierced-sided sterling silver wine coasters.
The sides of the coasters are pierced in lattice pattern with a solid silver disk on one side of each coaster on which is engraved a contemporary crest.
There are bands of reeding on both the top and bottom of the lattice work.
The full set of hallmarks are stamped on the side of each base. They are slightly rubbed but perfectly visible.
Pierced wine coasters are extremely sought after and these would make a lovely gift.
